Skidsteer owners benefit by expanding the jobs their equipment can perform. Whether the job entails consuming a 12” stump in minutes or grinding close to an obstacle, the Stumper 280 is the tool to get the job done. The Stumper 280 boasts elegant simplicity, requiring no electrical connections to the skidsteer you already own and only standard accessory hydraulics, a high flow version is optional but not required.
Incorporated January of 2003, Bay Engineering, Inc. is a mechanical engineering consulting firm specializing in machinery design and manufacturing process design. Their first innovation in stump grinding, the Stumper 3500, was released May 2002. Following in the Stumper 3500’s innovative footsteps, the Stumper 280 gets more leverage out of your own machinery.

Dale Peterson, President – Raised in L’Anse, Michigan, Dale attended Michigan Technological University, earning a degree in mechanical engineering. After graduation, Dale went to work for Ashland Industries designing and manufacturing stump grinders. Let down by the lack of time spent on updating and modernizing designs, Dale left Ashland and formed Bay Engineering, Inc.
